Established: AAPBA Weight Pull Sports was created in 1997 to serve as the collective
voice to promote all breed weight pulling dog sports.

Mission: To improve, promote and protect weight pull sports for those who train,
compete and support all breed dog sports.

Objectives: AAPBA Weight Pull Sports mission is supported by these objectives:
· Increasing interest through awarding championship titles and recognized titles on dog
registration pedigrees and certificates;
· Encouraging good sportsmanship to help provide a family-oriented environment at and
around weight pulling events;
· Creating new ideas for advanced dog sporting events.
